My t used to take a lot of notes during my session, which I was always curious about but never asked her to see them (I always had the opportunity to look at what she was writing). She used to tell me I would "eyeball" her when she was writing lol.
She rarely writes now and that's because of how she sets up her schedule--20 minutes between clients. She will only write something down while I'm there if it's really important, like, its usually something she and I both write down. Since I am at a point in my therapy where I'm working on telling my story and most sessions I'm working through the same event as the time before, she takes mental notes of how I'm reacting to talking about the stuff that happened/if I ask her for help or even recognize that I need to be grounded. I'm sure she writes even more than that, but I don't have the desire to know what it is.
