What made you think that saying "it was a nice day/week" is equivalent to saying "I could have enjoyed this day, it's all your fault I couldn't." May be he just means it was a nice a day and he enjoyed it, like when you go to a party and had fun and you say : "It was a nice party". Does he show you that he's upset or you assume that while he is nice to you, regardless of your past actions?
