My niece said the same thing, she is 15. I took her to mailing center that has them because every one of my jobs I have needed them still, in addition to pdf's and jpegs, but continue use them now in the current position. The funny part was that she just got her first job and she has to fax, no computer; not only were they impressed that she knew how to use it but she even trained the other trainee in how to use it.
