Why don't you see if you can paint something else besides a stick man? (Then do the stick man as a joke.)

I'm serious. My grandmother was an artist and always insisted I had a talent for drawing and was just too impatient for it. I never believed her, until a couple of years ago when a friend got me a "Learn to Draw" book as a joke and I actually went through it. Turned out I did have a talent for drawing (really just a technical talent - I don't have the ability to put my soul into my work the way my grandmother could), and now sometimes I go draw a building or a park scene when I want to lose myself.
