I tried so many anti-depressants that had the side effect of migraine headaches. After several years, the migraines became almost permanent even when I wasn't on any meds. I don't know if they permanently changed the chemistry in my brain but the migraines ended up being 24/7. Before I was given antidepressants, I never even had a mild headache let alone a migraine.
I am now being treated for migraines & the worst part is that the only thing that would help the migraines is a high dose of a narcotic called fentynal & have been on that for over 4 years without any migraines. I know I can't go on forever with this med.....which is a scarry position to be in.
Given my past experiences, I wouldn't keep giving a med that caused a horrible headache any chance, but that is based on my experiences. I honestly think our bodies tell us when something isn't right & it is our responsibility to listen.
I hope you find some relief,
Debbie
