Chocolatelover, I don't mean to be disrespectful or to contradict you. You are most certainly right ... with one exception. It seems to me that you are not living with the pain of violation and soul murder that the victims of such crimes against them are living with.

No matter the degree of healing, it is something that will never go away completely, not on this earth and not for us humans.

There are children that had their physical life taken from them, like Jessie, yes. No, they will never live and breath on this earth again. Nothing can bring them back. But there are many, many of us who survived and many, many more that will in the future. What about us? What about them?

These twisted souls that commit their utterly sick perversions on innocent children will NEVER "get better," they will never "heal." They will continue to exercise their free will. "Vengance is mine, sayeth the Lord." Those of us who believe in God and His Word have that blessed hope. While still here on earth, these monsters need to be stopped DEAD in their tracks. I desire this from the bottom of my heart and soul that not one single child more will suffer what I suffered, what Polly Klass suffered, what Jessica suffered, what Samantha suffered and so many countless others that remain unnamed. This site is laden with similar victims. You only have to read to see what they still suffer to this day.

Yes! Forgiveness... or at least indifference for these perpetrators is paramount for our own healing. But how many of us have raled against God for allowing something so utterly devastating to happen to us? I dare say, all of us! Where is one to find even the shadow of forgiveness in our hearts in that state of mind! It's a long, long, extremely difficult road to any semblance of normalcy. Some don't even begin to get there because of the trauma they suffered.

You've given us a wonderful goal to reach for; Peace. But for me, I'll never reach that state where news of yet another innocent child suffering at the hands of one of these vile monsters is so commonplace. There comes a time when we need to put our RIGHTEOUS ANGER into use.
