They cannot ask to see your medical records. That is against HIPAA. The only thing they can ask about health is in cases where they have defined and described the position in terms of it requiring certain physical abilities (for instance, the ability to lift 50 lbs., or the ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time). They have to have disclosed that in the job requirements ahead of time and can only ask for information pertaining to those specific physical requirements.
