I've taken Provigil on and off for about a year now, and I'm a fan of it. No side effects that I can see, although there were some headaches when I first went on it.

I stopped taking it for a while, and then started it again. When I restarted it, it was the only med I was on for a long time -- and it helped my depression a bit, even though it's not known to have any anti-depressant properties. I suspect that it was just that i felt better able to get things done, which made me feel better.

It does seem to be an increasingly common augmentation medication for depression, and it's well worth giving it a try. It's worked consistently and well for me all along, although the headaches were a drag (not a lot of pain, not like a migraine, just a bit of pressure and discomfort), they did pass pretty quickly, and I did feel a bit speedy right at first.

Hope that helps.
