I'm actually going through the same thing right now. Looking back, it's astounding how much I was in denial about my manic/hypomanic episodes... 
My T keeps assuring me that this is a good thing, because with bipolar meds I should finally be able to get some relief from my depression... Hope that's true, and that this happens for you as well...!
