Does anyone with fibromyalgia use a wheelchair because of their fibro pain/stiffness? I was thinking of maybe pursuing this as an occasional-use item, but I wasn't sure if a doctor would tell me to stop "hamming it up" and "walk it off." Especially since I wouldn't need the wheelchair all the time; I can go for a few days or weeks without much pain, then bam! I can barely make it to the bathroom on my own. See, the reason why I want to do this is because I wanted to go out with my partner today to do some shopping, but I couldn't because of my pain. I don't know if a doctor would honor my request and think I'm just being "lazy" or something. Anyone have experience with this or use a wheelchair (even part time) due to their pain?
