I have psychosis which is currently untreated. Since im not on any meds, i have episodes pretty often. They can vary from a breif hallucination, lasting only a few minutes, to a full blown psychotic state that can last for an entire day or more. Those are the scary ones, because i have no memory of that time period. That said, if your on meds that work for you, and you take them right. You shouldnt have any episodes, and if you do they should be minimal. When i was in the hospital, i was on meds. (haldol, i think) and i never had anything until i was released and had to stop taking them due to money and insurance issues.
