I thought 30 was the lowest you should be. At 29 I was told " still a little low. Docs were happy when I got to 34.
Originally I was given a prescription that I took once a week. I then switched to over the counter supplements. 2000 IU was not enough. Better but still not good enough. I now take 3000 a day and am good.
You really should get rechecked after being on supplements. Low Vitamin D is extremely common, but only recently has it been a more common test. I was diagnosed 5 years ago and don't expect to ever be free of supplements.
