My first symptoms appeared at 14 but I had good and bad times as bipolar brings. But what I think happens is the destruction of ones self that it causes over time and especially after a psychotic break, or as we age, or how the episodes do damage to the brain over time. Not to mention the bad decisions that stay with us
But as a youth it brought me much adventure and a fearlessness that led to amazing things
