Ouch!!! Yep those things sure suck. When I was sick at Chritmas last year, the same kind of thing kept happening. I was not impressed cause every day they had to put a new one in. My hands were sooo swollen. They kept them in daily, but always had to start new the following day. Go figure that one; duh.

But this one nurse started the IV even when I was practically ready to grab this thing out of my hand. Well what had happened was it was not even in the vein. So she started it but my hand just swelled. Was not to happy, and she was a bag to boot. Then she went to the bed next to me, (curtains closed and all), and said, "It is a wonder how sulky people are, this job gets annoying at time. I have had children that handle these things better." Talk about MADDDDD. My bf was with me and when the doctor came in to talk to me, he said to him that she is not to come in here again, unless she can use some professionalism. I was glad that he stuck up for me. (she did not come back in;lolol).

The bad part of all of this was I kept having allergic reactions to everything. The first day, my tounge, throat, cheeks swelled up and was getting really hard to breathe. They moved pretty darn fast though. I was wreching so bad my tummy hurt for days after. Benadril was the trick. So the next day, same thing but it was much milder. So they decided to give me the benadril before giving anything first. Good plan.

I am not normally afraid of needles, really don't bother me. If anything I have to watch, its so cool. The only one that really killed was the spinal tap (whatever u call it). Had to check for meningitis. (man my spelling is so sucky; sry). Just ignore the stupid typing and spelling. hehe.

Anyway, I really didn't mean to babble again. Its just my nature; sry.

Have a good night all,

Justy
