Yeah, it's so hard if you don't click with your psych ppl. In the hospital I've been really lucky and have always gotten good pdocs. My favorite is this Indian pdoc. He is so good!
But on the outside I haven't had much luck. Like I didn't want to go on lorazepam. But my first psych nurse pushed it on me when I was having akathisia from the latuda and started refusing to take it. I didn't know that was what I was having. She was like you need to calm down! I was like no, I don't wasn't any benzodiazepines....She basically said she would end our treatment if I didn't take them. I knew one day I would meet some one that didn't like them and now I have. Sorry to ramble about myself, lol.
I would see if the depakote works. It is stronger than lamictal. See how you do with her plan for a bit. When I've went off lamictal, I've never had withdrawals. But I was usually being put on depakote in the hospital. Just try her plan. If it doesn't work, change pdocs if you can...
