Giving yourself credit for the things you do.

I tend to minimize the things I do in my life—the positive things. I don’t allow myself to take credit for the good things. Because of my depression the positives in life sometimes mean getting the laundry done or making it to work everyday. But, there are also the bigger things like volunteering, getting my masters degree, buying a house…

Do you give yourself credit for the things you accomplish in your life? What are you getting done right now that you should give yourself credit for? Big or small.

A few things:
Going to work every single day
Taking my meds
I am volunteering
I have been doing the dishes and laundry on a regular basis
Showering every day (something I find difficult to do when I am depressed)
I am talking to people on the elevator and in the hallways
