So glad the wait is over. I hope you get a private room too...but you know how it goes, those that are there claim the rooms as soon as the person in them is leaving. Back in the twin cities they had a unit like that for those of us with dissociative disorders, mostly private rooms with a few doubles. The staff were better trained and not so, us vs them, but more part of the solution. All the rooms had their own phones and recliners. The only minus was that it was too small a unit to have separate rooms for therapy so all groups were in the dinning common area which meant less art therapy. But hey so much better than a regular unit. I'm glad for you. I'm not sure you'll be up to groups so I wish you the best luck in getting that private room.
