I'm back on seroquel myself. I think it's going to be my go-to drug for winter. I have depression year round, but over the winter it gets bad, and the seroquel helps cut the negative chatter in my head.
Anyways, I'm extremely concerned/aware of my weight (hello dancing pre-professional ballet during some key formative years of my life). I count calories and focus on eating fruits and veggies and getting exercise while I'm taking seroquel. It can be frustrating as all get out, but I know I'll be more miserable if I don't. (Granted, this is me coming off a three day binge, so take this with a grain of salt, I suppose).
It helps that I have a friend also counting calories and watching what she's eating (she's just doing it to be healthy) and having a very supportive spouse that helps me measure everything.
