I've already mentioned to my bf I might want an air filter. You have no idea the stress dust causes me, with my OCD. It's hell. I have a bunch of plastic containers I need to dust, and when you factor in my OCD (dusting isn't so simple, and when I dust, I worry about getting it on me, even if it's just a little dusting, and I have to shower afterwards, but also, I have to wipe down almost everything in the area with Clorox or other disinfectant wipes, plus change linens and things), it's going to be hell. Makes me procrastinate, but that, of course, makes the dust worse. I have a lot of tissues and paper towels on my floor (don't feel like explaining now, but it has to do with my OCD, not laziness), and they desperately need to be picked up and thrown away, but I also freak about the dust just from doing that, and thinking of all the tedious wiping down I'll have to do. I have to figure out whether I wipe surfaces down first, or pick up items and wipe those first, and how to wipe them, and it's very detailed and stressful.
Anyway, this air filter could be really helpful to me. I ask my bf to spend way too much on me for my OCD, but I don't know how not to.
I don't have blinds. I have one sheer curtain. Apparently, you're supposed to buy this particular curtain in pairs (it doesn't come that way in one package--how weird is that???), my bf found out later after we'd gotten it, but it covers my window, and I feel no need to spend the money for a second one. It's very sheer, and I don't have a blind, but I'm ok with it. I can see out the window (which is slightly tinted, probably because the previous owners had a baby in this room), and people can probably see in, but I'm not too worried about it right now.
That's great that you did the refinishing yourself. My problem with wood flooring is, we have it in the living room and kitchen, and it hurts my feet. I found improvement when I got house shoes to wear, but there's still pain. I don't mean the bottom so much, but the bones where the foot joins the leg seem to feel like they're bending, almost breaking. Very painful!!!
I don't have a comforter at the moment...might get one for winter. I have a soft cotton blanket that seems to work pretty well for now. What bugs me is, my loose sheet and the blanket often end up hanging onto the floor, and that drives my OCD crazy!!!
We don't rent, so that's not a problem right now. Well, I rent, pay rent to my boyfriend, but we don't have a landlord or lady to worry about.
