Its horrible. I'm suffering from this objectification and dehumanization myself. I really can relate. I feel like an object on an assembly line. A broken machine. They stick you in the waiting room, then preop. Then they open me up, cut parts out, sew me back up, pump me full of antibiotics, and move me into the recovery room. Then out the door. And as I leave the operating room, they clean it up and bring in the next broken machine.
Through it all, they can't see us as human beings with feelings and fears and pain. They have to see us as broken objects that they get paid to fix. Just assembly line workers doing their jobs and daydreaming about what they're going to spend all their money on this weekend.
Yes, I'm a bit disenchanted with the healthcare system myself. I'm sorry you're going through this too.
