I posted elsewhere that I had to put my horse down Thursday. Actaully I had to put my last two horses down in the last two weeks. First time in almost 50 years I haven't had a horse.

This got me thinking about the loss that comes with getting older. I know it's part of aging, but it sucks. When I was in high school I had 105 living relatives going out as far as first cousin. Today I'm the only one left.

I love my fur babies and would not want a life without them. But they live such short lives compared to ours. Hurts each time I lose one.

I know I'm grieving right now and that affects the way I see things, but dang the losses seem to be stacking up faster and faster.
