Hi all, last year I gained a lot of weight fairly quickly and I'm not sure what its from. I gave up fast food and soda, I've been eating organic when I can and generally other healthy food (lots of fun smoothies!). I don't drink almost at all, just when a birthday or other fun occasion comes up, so maybe a couple drinks a month. I work out almost daily, mostly at home doing yoga, cardio, and other toning exercises. I'm a student so I don't have a whole lot of time for the gym but I usually get a 20 minute work out every day. I've been doing this for months and I haven't lost anything. If anything, I've gained 5 pounds just over the last couple of weeks and I'm sick of it!!
I'm on Vyvanse, seroquel, abilify, cogentin, and cymbalta. I also have the Mirena which I've heard can cause weight gain but a few doctors have assured me that since it contains no estrogen, the weight gain can't be from that. Any advice? I know a few of these medications can cause weight gain but I wanted to get some more personal group insight. Thanks for any and all feedback!
