Hi,

I haven't been here much the last few days. I have been working way too many hours and am bushed.

I wanted to post today, because my friend went to her sisters funeral today. Her father panicked last week when they were about to pronounce her sister dead and he was there alone so he had her put on life support.

Her liver was so bad and inflamed that it had enveloped both her kidneys. I felt so bad because I don't think she would have wanted to be kept alive.

Her kidneys and liver were so bad that they didn't have to make the decision to remove her from life support, she died while on it Saturday.

Unfortunately I couldn't go to the funeral today but I did make my AA meeting and spoke about it. Before I did I looked at the guy behind me who had just shared that he had 15 years of sobriety and this was his third day back after being out for 3 years. I told him I was so happy to see him come back. After talking about my friend I could see he was effected. He should have been - he's lucky he made it back in - she didn't.
