I'm an RN w/ bipolar and got fired for missing days of work, lost my apartment, was homeless for 9 months, went into a psych hosp, got into mental health residential living, received SSD, got my own apt near my mom who got dx w/ lung cancer right after my dad died, took care of her and than she died not even one year after my dad died, in my arms. this sent into a downward spiral, depression, spending sprees, owe the bank $995.00. but i just got an inheritance so i can pay the bank off and get a car and put the money into cd's where i can't touch them. i have two roommates and we stick to a strict budget each month. you have to or u won't survive. good luck
