We couldn't tell you if you are manic or not, but mania often have symptoms of rapid thoughts, little to no sleep, delusions of grandeur, hyper activity, excessive spending, increased sexuality, psychosis, etc.... or some of the said symptoms if not all.

You can even go into hypomania of hyperactivity and euphoria without crossing the mania threshold, and let's not forget the mixed state that has symptoms of depression and mania mixed together with symptoms like agitation, hyperactivity, anger, irritation, etc.

Charting your moods on a mood chart can help you see your mood change patterns quite easily.
I have definately been going up and down in moods all day for a few months even while I was drinking. I have done a few of the "manic episodes" while I was drinking. I don't remember if I did when I was sober, since there haven't been many consistent times of sobriety since I was 15 years old. I was diagnosed manic depressive when I was 9. Rapid thoughts have been a constant with me my entire life. It's really hard to focus that way. But I've mainly just been depressed with really bad anxiety. Especially socially. This is the easiest way for me to talk to people. I have a really hard time making phone calls, or in person asking for help. I know my meds aren't straight, but I'm having trouble finding a psychiatrist. And the place that I did go is booked. I heard it takes at least a month to know for sure, and it has been. I am just so lost right now.
