I'm on Mirena, but am not dating right now. My periods are completely nonexistent. I love it. The procedure to insert it was very painful, but the pain only lasted for a few minutes while the doctor had my cervix opened. Also, the speculum was a bit uncomfortable, come to think of it. Speculums are always uncomfortable to me anyways.

I don't know how similar Nexplanon is to Mirena, but I hope you can get it.
