I can't help much, if at all, but as a fifty year old, we might be the oldest two in this forum. I mention that because my first reaction to your thread title was the single word answer, "Death." For myself, after so many years separate, integration engenders feelings of loss that can only be compared to someone dying (to me). Good luck in your journey.
