Welcome to the forums. We don't bite around here, well not often anyways.
Hey thanks for the reply. There's another behaviour of mine that I've noticed- I like talking about my illnesses a lot. I don't invent any symptoms or lie about any illnesses but generally like to talk about whatever may be going on with me. Like if I have a cold, I'll bring that up in the midst of a conversation. And I do this just so I can gain sympathy from the person I'm talking to. I like it when people seem to care about me and say things like, "Oh you'll be alright. You'll be fine etc."

I want to stop this behaviour and be able to genuinely care about other people and their problems. I want to sincerely feel like helping others. What should I do to change my approach?
