What did the rash look like? Was it a bullseye shape -- large outer ring with a smaller one in the center?

I would urge you to think of your anxiety not as a disorder or disease, but as a symptom of some deeper underlying condition, perhaps emotional perhaps purely physiological. Severe nutrient deficiencies can cause anxiety and all sorts of havoc. Calling it GAD cuts you off from investigating further what is going on.

I have always had anxiety, but several years ago it escalated into panic attacks briefly. I used mindfulness practices to kill the panic attacks, realizing that my mind and body were spiraling into a negative feedback loop. The attacks appear to have been part of an escalating physiological condition. But still it was partly my mind becoming hyper vigilant and overreacting.

Seems anxiety meds (benzos) should be last resort on as needed basis, as I have read that long term they can do real damage and withdrawal is vicious.
Thanks for this!
