I get it. I had a doc that gave me all sorts of meds that I was uncomfortable taking and she wouldn't budge. I was miserable on those meds. I was lucky to find a new pdoc really quickly and he actually listened and took me off those meds. Not only that, he listened when I said what meds I was willing to take. And I've been doing much better.
I would definitely get on that wait list and then call around and get on some others too. Good luck! And yes, don't flush your meds, just throw them away or take them to a pharmacy for disposal. It's really bad for the water system.
