I always forget to reply to a comment then someone else comes & replies which reminds me...
It's almost impossible to cut back added sugars entirely, but certainly cutting back as much as possible is good.
I was going to say like SP, natural sugars don't count, which covers the likes of whole fruit & diary products.
(although beware of yogurts)
Technically, I should really avoid fruit juice but I allow myself 100ml of apple juice in the mornings.
I figured on the whole I don't get excessive amounts of added sugar. As a rough guideline though, any sauces, cereals or whatever with more than 10g of sugar per 100g should be avoided. Apparently less than 5g per 100g is considered low sugar content.
I'll have try adding up how much sugar I get... I'm sure it's far from excessive but will still be over the stricter guidelines out there.
