You should consider doing more sports. I bike for commuting every work day for about 40 minutes on a hilly road and it doesn't really affect my weight much. Can you use a bike for commuting?
Losing weight efficiently is not easy and it has a lot to do with change of life style. Start little, bring in some small changes into your daily routine. You can start with going for a short run every other day. I usually start with 10-15 minutes and then increase gradually. I personally don't like running, but it is one of the most efficient sports for weight loss. It gets much easier once you are used to it.
I know some people who lost weight by excluding something from their diet. I know somebody who lost a couple of kg by not drinking sugary drinks at work. I know another guy who lost a bunch after stopping binge-eating at night.
Start small, don't push yourself over the limits.
