I got violent in the hospital once. I was having a manic/delusionary episode without any medicine in me. I was confused, tormented and completely insane when I opened my door and went behind the nurse's station and repeatedly beat on a nurse. The staff was called and they threatened to break my arm, giving me a shot of some tranquilizer.
When I came to, I was crying really deeply because I was thinking people were passing me by like in a line for a visitation. I could hear voices of friends I knew. It was really a sad feeling.
Then the next thing I knew I was in a different building and in my right mind. My doctor had probably injected Zyprexa and Lithium into me, plus some others, and I recovered there for 2 - 3 weeks.
I was charged with a felony for battery for something I couldn't control. The judge was merciful and let me go free, no conviction.
I still don't understand what caused the anger/frustration outburst. That's why I'm asking you guys for your stories.
Have you ever gotten violent, and why do you think you did?
