Congrats on passing the bar!! You must be really proud of yourself!

Dementia is tough. My grandfather passed away in the summer, aged 90yo, and it was a kindness really. I actually found that my experiences helped me empathise with him, and that made it easier to not take things personally and to be supportive when he was confused and distressed. So you might find that your experiences with your son have equipped you to better support your mother. I do feel really good about the fact that I could be there to comfort my grandfather in his last few months. It was really hard work at times, but also a privilege. I hope that you have some support so you're not doing everything on your own

All the best,
