High tide was at 4:45 am. I was awake, but like 2 cups of coffee in the am and need a little something to eat with my morning meds.

It was heavenly. Not a soul in the ocean. Just me. Far into the distance a pleasure yacht and a few fishing boats.

The cove is protected so the waves aren't too high.

The surf school teaches here. Down the coast a little the waves are massive at Dominical. Surfers come from all over the world to surf here.

Dominicalito is where I'm from. 20 years down here. The first 9 years without power. I'm glad I experienced it. Now I know I can survive. A person wouldn't unplug thier stove and fridge and lights to see if it were possible.

So it was hard. But a character building experience non the less.
