Sending ((((gentle hugs)))) not sure that there's right or wrong as far as socialization. Nothing wrong with being a lone wolf, so to speak. Some bonds develop slowly and over time.
Are you involving yourself in anything that purely interests you? A hobby group(arts/writing/collectors groups)? Communitity politics/neighborhood associations/charity? Things that are your passion? Can be hit or miss, but sometimes friendships develop through networking.
