Hello Everyone,
It has been quite awhile since I have posted. Here is the background. About 5 weeks ago I am confident I should have been hospitalize. During that time frame I worked with my therapist pretty much on a daily basis. With my meds specialist I worked on a regular basis. I am starting to get back to normal but it is taking much longer than I expected. My episode was caused by a major PTSD flashback. I was hospitalized once in my life in 2007.
Now here is what my question is coming from I have someone I work with but for the most part we work different shifts so I do not know her that well. She does not know my mental health issues nor would I ever tell her. She stated she had a bunch of med changes for issues recently. Which she believes caused her to slit her wrist. By no means am I making light of slitting wrist but they did not look to bad. I made sure she had professionals in her life working with her. When she showed me her wrist I became very edgy and felt like I could not get out of there soon enough. Wondering if I should have stayed longer and talked to her I do absolutely sympathize with what she is going through. Probably if I stated something like that I really would not want the person I was talking to be in a hurry to leave. Not sure she could sense it though.
Any feedback would be helpful...
