I've never had the chance to talk about IBS like this and although I'm very sorry you have it Maven, I'm very glad you brought this topic to the forum.
The Dr. told me the reason water can set it off is that it's not actually the water, but when we swallow anything, be it water or something else, it starts the digestive system going and there you go again. (No pun intended.)
