I met with my CBT therapist today. She suggested that I try to look at things using an objective viewpoint. For example, instead of saying "this chair is uncomfortable", she said to simply say "here's a chair".
The former is a negative viewpoint. The latter is simply vanilla. I've just started (second session) but I think she's trying to steer me away from negativity and to reprogram how I view my daily challenges. We all know the challenges that truly bother us will *suck* but we also know there's not much we can do about them and we just have to move forward.
The base/core challenge for me is that my job eats me up and I forget my strategies. I need to remember!
