What I mean by this is... I have plenty of meds left in my bottles (maybe I forgot to take them or they're PRN) but if my refill is due, I fill it anyway and just put it away in my cabinet. The reason I do this is because I have a terrible fear that my insurance will get turned off abruptly. It has happened before! I have Medicaid and they can change it on me or put me in a certain program month to month with no warning. They "say" they mailed a notice but I didn't get anything. One time I went to fill my script and they said "sorry your insurance ended!" I freaked out so bad that my brother had to pay out of pocket for a few days worth of the script until I called the company and got it straightened out. Ahh the joys of state/low income insurance! And it would be disastrous I'd i didn't have my meds for a few days. I was so upset I begged the people on the phone and explained that I depend on these meds to function. And imagine if I had diabetes or something where I could of gotten seriously ill for not having my meds? Well insanity is pretty ill as well. Been there! Anyone else do this?
