Anxiety Support Chat is a place that everyone can feel comfortable and learn about themselves and news in relation to anxiety.

Friday night at 8PM EST, there will be a discussion of how we react to stress can lower or increase stress. The full article is here.
Reaction to Stress May Be More Important Than Frequency | Psych Central News

Quote:
How you react to stressful events is more important to your health than how frequently you encounter stress, according to new research.
Quote:
The researchers found that participants who reported a lot of stressful events in their lives were not necessarily those who had lower heart rate variability. Instead, it was those who perceived the events as more stressful or who experienced a greater spike in negative emotions that had lower heart rate variability — meaning these people may be at a higher risk for heart disease, according to the scientists.
So come on down to the chat. Unlike last week, there will be a specific topic that we will stick to for the first 45 minutes for the sake of the integrity of the chat. This will insure that everyone can benefit from the chat. As time allows at the end of chat, personal challenges will be able to be shared and discussed. Thank you all for participating in this interesting topic.
