I have used the urgent care or inside pharmacy (walgreen's or cvs) nurse practitioner guys for my strep throat and sinus infections and broken bones (urgent care). I don't remember what the inside pharmacy places charge - $75 or so is what I seem to recall. I find them useful and certainly less of a hassle than an mds office. Urgent care is more expensive probably because there is an actual md. But also because I used them for broken bones so xrays and bandaging adds to the bill more than a simple throat culture and antibiotic prescription.
