Yeah, my cousin's GF is amazing! Both have partners that will go to great lengths for them.
Makes me wonder if i, at 34, will ever find someone...or if i'll die alone and/or become that "crazy cat lady" i always hated as a kid

Alzheimers is a sad disease - they are making strong progress in finding the cause and cure so there is hope - not in the near future though
keeping the brain active is the best way to ward it off even if genetic - so ive read
Im sorry for your uncles diagnosis and for his wife - it must be so upsetting and confronting for them both - I hope that the best possible oputcome is achieved

Yeah, that and diabeties (my dad is diabetic) runs in the family. His mom had it, his dad died too young but 2 brothers and one of his sisters has it.
My dad had been showing early signs for years and finally I got him to allow the VA to test him and thank goodness he's negitive for any signs of dementia!
He's constantly doing puzzles (crossword daily in the paper, scrabble 24/7 it seems) so it has seemed to help (or at least he's always done it and doesnt have it so i dunno). My dad is 74, so he's at that age, you know?
But though im 34, he can runs circles around me now. I find that sad for me but awesome that he is as active as he is.
