You can do EMDR without the eye movements. (In fact, I would not be coordinated enough to do the whole protocol if I had to do the eye movements simultaneously.) You can use anything that stimulates the two sides of the brain alternately. In my sessions, we use two little electronic gizmos that pulsate. You can hold them in your hands, put them under your thighs, under your feet. I like them in my shoes.

I find the pulses soothing, first on one side, then on the other. T lets me adjust the intensity using the control dial until I find the level that is just right for me. (I don't know about the sensations reference as that was deleted above.)
