Yes, I really have wanted to meet many wise people in my time. I'm upset with myself for not meeting Helen Keller, though I was young and didn't realize she would die, you know, but she was alive in my lifetime. I have met Billy Graham, Dr James Kennedy, and a few other sages. When the dalai lama came to South Florida it was quite a coup; he was coming to me and I didn't have to go to him. It was not good. He was a miserable person (I will give him the benefit of the doubt that he was just having a bad day.) His aggravation didn't go unnoticed and was reported on by the media too. If he returns to South Florida, I doubt very many will bother. I don't post this to trounce him, btw. I post this so that we remember to not put human beings on a pedastal. No good comes from that.
I was going to post this when the thread first went up, but felt it too negative. But now that "Mother" Theresa's letters have been made public, and we see how she doubted even the existence of God, well, it reminded me about this thread.
Keep things in perspective, is what I'm saying. Don't put a person on a pedastal, but utilize the words that cause us growth.
