Your therapist may have some techniques that will help you. Ask him this same question. I have heard one exercise is to try to write a question to your inner child with your dominant hand. Then allow your inner child to write back to you by using your non-dominant hand. Try to communicate with her and see what that hand writes out. (I've never tried this.)
