My bf was just playing music and it really made me think of something. I like his music (rap) but it's not MY kind of music. Not my first pick. I listen to rock and classic rock that my dad and older bro listen to. Pink Floyd, sublime, bob Marley and loads of other stuff. But don't get me wrong, I love eminem and a few others though. I live in MI so pretty much everyone here likes Eminem. But I realized that if it was like 10 yrs ago (I'm 28) then our different taste in music would of probably been a deal breaker! Now that I'm almost 30, this seems rather silly to me. When I was younger my bf's and I would hang out in downtown Detroit going to concerts and stuff. I grew up obsessed with the deftones (got a tattoo of one of their logos that I still love. Also have a pink Floyd tat) We listened to mostly a lot of underground stuff and hung out at small venues often meeting the bands and going back stage! Oh man the good ol' days! But of course now that seems so silly! Now I look at things like their history, do they have kids, a good career ect. More serious stuff.

So have your expectations and deal breakers changed throughout the years as you got older and grew as a person? If so, how?
