Anger is a secondary emotion, I find it helpful to do as Venus suggested and address what lies beneath.
Also, if the anger is not expressed in an effective manner and the reason behind it is not addressed, the anger just boils beneath the surface indefinitely.and that's a very heavy toxic feeling to live with.
I was never the daily irritable b!tch type, but more the "SURPRISE! Here's explosive rage" type, and since I've taken to analyzing my anger before it reaches boiling point, I have not broken any windows, mirrors or furniture in over a year!
