Anger's important. It is telling you something is not right and needs to change. It's good to recognize when you're angry and to work with it a bit to understand why it's there. If you don't like your reaction to your anger and feel you could do something different with it, that's good too. Don't know if this is a suitable suggestion for you but I have found mindfulness meditation is giving me a bit a room around the anger so I can deal with what's bothering me rather than lashing out at others.
