I went "silent" for a long time, not listening or working (classical / opera singing) on my many pieces. In the last 8 months or so I have completely changed that. I have my music going when I clean and bake. And invariably I'll stop to work on a piece. My music (mostly Sarah Brightman) has soothed me, calmed me, invigorated me and when I successfully sing a piece, the adrenaline and sense of achievement are huge. I recently purchased 3 volumes of rare songs released by Sarah, digital only, so I have them on my phone and there are some beautiful pieces with Gregorian monks. Hubby got me a bluetooth speaker for my birthday. So now my music travels, on full volume, from room to room with me.
